2021 starts still under continuing gloom of the covid and continuing circus of the presidential debacle. Vicki spent News Years sequestered in house on the water in Cedar Key with Deb and the dogs and I was at home carrying on my tradition of, martini's, good wine and junk food while watching Pavarotti and Friends for hours.
Or, that was my plan. Occasionally I have morning telephone coffee with my long time friend Roger who lives in McMinnville OR. He has to drive to the parking lot at the Evergreen Aviation Museum because his open floor plan in his house, talking and laughing disturbs his wife at 5AM. There is the added benefit of him being able to pee on the grave Delford Smith the founder of Evergreen Aviation. He called for coffee on New Years Day. One of the subjects discussed was our mutual weight loss and mutual regaining of weight over the holiday period. We are going to monitor each other over the next six months and can call for a weigh in at anytime. I tried to justify carrying on with my traditional New Years eating and drinking but decided to get back on the weight loss wagon, I had to start today to change my habits back to pre-holiday eating. So Pavarotti and I still sang , but with a few glasses of wine and cheese, instead of chips and dips.
So Vicki is coming home today and for her birthday I have given her a cooking class via zoom with Eric in the south of France. I also included Walt and Hellen. Wendy heard about it and gave class last week to Stefan and invited us to participate. It was a lot of fun, but also a lot of work with a lot of chopping. Today I have prepared everything in advance.
So what has any of this to do with ScooterDairies. Well, I don't know, other than it all makes me want to go on a ride. My good luck, Bill called and said "I NEED A RIDE, Now!" So, on Thursday we resume our courthouse tours.
